How to Slow Down and Enjoy Your Life Again
Lately, I've been thinking about how quickly an entire day can disappear.
I can wake up, reach for my phone, answer messages, check one thing that leads to another, work all day, run errands, take care of the house, and somehow find myself back in bed wondering where the day went.
Sometimes I wasn't even busy doing anything that mattered to me.
I was simply occupied.
I think that's what troubles me most.
Life can become so full of noise, notifications, responsibilities, and endless scrolling that we stop noticing we're living it.
The kitchen helps me remember.
How to Feel Beautiful Again
There are days when I catch my reflection and hardly recognize the woman looking back at me.
Life has a way of covering us with responsibilities, worries, grief, deadlines, and long to-do lists. Somewhere along the way, we stop noticing the things that once made us feel alive.
When that happens, I find myself returning to the kitchen.
There is something about washing fresh fruit, clipping herbs from the garden, or preparing a simple meal that reminds me to slow down and care for myself again.
