“There you are. Come in. I saved you a place.”
Stay as long as you like. First, tell me where you'd like to sit.
Where would you like to sit?
Now that you're settled...
“You don't have to rush off. What are you in the mood for while you're here?”
“Oh, before I forget. Lady Staywell left something for the table this morning.”
Dearest Reader,
There is a peculiar habit we have of saving our pleasure for later.
The good china waits for company. The beautiful dress waits for an occasion. Rest waits until everything is finished, and somehow everything is never quite finished.
I wonder what would happen if, just this once, you stopped requiring an occasion.
Drink something lovely. Sit somewhere beautiful. Use the thing you have been saving.
A perfectly ordinary Wednesday has never objected to being made special.
Lady Staywell

“I hope you enjoyed your time here today. Come back and see me whenever you’d like. I’ll have something good brewing for you next time.”
“See you soon, my love.”
Your seat at the table is always offered freely. If you enjoyed being here and would like to leave something for your host, you may leave a tip before you go.
