Resting in love - A Reflection on Self-Worth and Emotional Safety

By the time you return to your room this evening, the house has already done a few small things on your behalf.

The bed has been turned down. The lamps softened. Just enough care woven in to let your body know it does not have to stay alert tonight.

On the nightstand, you’ll find pink roses.

Simply placed there, fresh and open, as if they arrived knowing this was where they were meant to rest. Their scent is gentle. Comforting. The kind that settles instead of distracts.

I chose them with intention.

Love is not always something we chase. Sometimes it is something we return to. Sometimes it is something we allow to hold us without question or proof.

Before you sleep, take a moment to notice what the room is offering you. Warmth. Stillness. A sense that nothing is being withheld. You do not need to decide what it looks like or where it belongs.

Let it exist as a feeling first.

If you like, you can place your hand over your heart for just a breath or two, to acknowledge that you are already worthy of tenderness. Already allowed to receive it.

This is love in its quiet form.
Present. Unrushed. Unconditional.

You are not behind.
You are not lacking.
You are not waiting for love to begin.

It is already here, resting alongside you.

Sleep well.
